Construction Angels

The IHC Scott Ultimate Sports Day was an unforgettable event that brought together sports enthusiasts and friends and family of IHC Scott to raise money for a charitable cause. Over $40,000 in proceeds from the event went directly to the Construction Angels Charity.

Prior to this event, Construction Angels lacked a presence in Colorado; however, thanks to IHC Scott, they have now established one in the area.

“We’ve had an incredible atmosphere here today, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the turnout,” said Liana Labriola, who helped coordinate the event. “It was a day filled with fun, friendly competition, and most importantly, a chance to support the incredible Construction Angels Charity. It was a pleasure to be part of this event.”

About Construction Angels

Construction Angels is a non-profit that provides immediate financial assistance and grief counseling to the children and spouses left behind when a construction worker has a fatality on the job site.

Many times, when a household suffers a loss, there are little to no short-term funds available to accommodate those left behind. Construction Angels’ main objective is to help families pick up the pieces.

They offer construction scholarship opportunities to applicants as well as scholarships to surviving children of a fallen worker. They believe in the importance of promoting family values, job site safety awareness, continued education, and the constant support of ‘one of our own.’

“We’re so grateful to IHC Scott for putting together this event and raising funds for our charity,” said Danny Howard with Construction Angels. “Construction Angels shows our industry that fallen workers are not forgotten and their families will continue to be supported through generous donations. Thank you for helping raise awareness for our cause.”

Sports Day Events

While raising money for the Construction Angels, participants gathered at the scenic Arapahoe County Fairgrounds in the morning for the 5K fun run/walk. Runners and walkers of all ages tested their skills and raced for first place, while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow Colorado sports enthusiasts.

As the day progressed, focus was turned to the kickball field. Competitors showcased their agility, teamwork, and competitive spirit in an atmosphere of sportsmanship and unity. To finish off the day, the Cornhole Tournament took center stage.

The IHC Scott Ultimate Sports Day united everyone involved through sports, while raising funds for an important cause. We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who made this event and fundraiser an outstanding success.
