Large Diameter Wet Utility Installation

Windsor Segment:
Work for the Windsor Segment generally consists of furnishing, delivering, constructing, installing, and testing a new waterline as required to convey raw water from a future connection near the intersection of Weld County Road 68.5 and Weld County Road 13 (Colorado Boulevard) to a future connection near the intersection of Weld County Road 44 and Weld County Road 13 (Colorado Boulevard). Work includes installation of approximately 18,520 feet (3.51 miles) of 42-inch diameter fully welded steel waterline. Work also includes the installation of two (2) trenchless installations of 52-inch diameter (minimum) tunnel liners. This is a total of approximately 435 linear feet of installation via a trenchless tunnel. All steel pipe materials and installation shall be in accordance with AWWA C200.

The construction of the project shall include providing and installing all necessary piping, fittings, valving, vaults, welding, restraint, blow-off assemblies, air vacuum valves, manways, cathodic protection system, communications conduits, communications handholes, and all other appurtenances to complete a fully functioning water line, and as shown or called for in the Contract Documents. All excavating, asphalt and concrete removal and replacement, backfilling, trench shoring, erosion control, fencing, traffic control, dewatering, permitting, surface restoration, testing, potholing, and site restoration to like new conditions shall be performed by the Contractor as part of this Work.

Johnstown Segment:
Work for the Johnstown Segment generally consists of furnishing, delivering, constructing, installing, and testing a new waterline as required to convey raw water from a future connection at approximately 1125 feet south of Weld County Road 50 to a future connection at Weld County Road 44. Work includes installation of approximately 19,530 feet (3.70 miles) of 42-inch diameter fully welded steel waterline. Work also includes the installation of seven (7) trenchless installations of 52-inch diameter (minimum) tunnel liners. This is a total of approximately 846 linear feet of installation via a trenchless tunnel. All steel pipe materials and installation shall be in accordance with AWWA C200.

The construction of the project shall include providing and installing all necessary piping, fittings, valving, vaults, welding, restraint, blow-off assemblies, air vacuum valves, manways, cathodic protection systems, communications conduits, communications handholes, and all other appurtenances to complete a fully functioning water line, and as shown or called for in the Contract Documents.
